Five Things Not to Miss in Cardiff

The Welsh capital is a vibrant city with lots to offer for visitors of all ages, whether you’ve been before or are exploring it for the first time. Therefore, it’s well worth looking at trains to Cardiff, where you could enjoy some of the following:

It’s hard to miss Cardiff Castle – with its location at the heart of the city – and nor should you either as it’s a remarkable place. With a history dating back around 2,000 years it’s the perfect spot to find out more about how the city was in years gone by.  Tours of the site are available throughout the year, although it’s always wise to check opening hours in advance to avoid disappointment.

Cardiff Bay
Be sure not to miss out on Cardiff Bay, which after regeneration towards the end of the last century now has plenty to offer and is a great place for a stroll too. It’s home to the vastly differing, but both stunning in appearance, Pierhead and Millennium Centre buildings. The latter is an arts and cultural venue, which is open all-year round (aside from Christmas Day) and offers shops, restaurants, theatres and galleries.

The Dr Who Experience While you’re at Cardiff Bay you might like to take in the Dr Who Experience, which promises to take you on a trip through time and space. Fans of the hugely popular BBC TV show will love the interactive, multi-sensory journey, which gives you the chance to help the Doctor on a mission where he’ll encounter a number of familiar enemies. It could be the perfect way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic character.

Millennium Stadium
The stunning Millennium Stadium, which boasts a fully retractable roof, has played host to everything from a Rugby World Cup final to FA Cup finals since opening its doors back in 1999. Located at the Cardiff Arms Park site in the city centre it’s within walking distance of all sorts of local amenities. You can even experience the thrill of walking down the tunnel and sitting in the dressing room by going on a guided tour.

Shopping When it comes to shopping Cardiff has something for everyone, with a whole host of big name high street stores and plenty of quirky boutiques offering some unique items. Once you’ve got your train tickets to Cardiff you can look forward to taking a walk down Queen Street and seeking out some bargains!

I do not know if it’s just me or if perhaps everybody else
encountering problems with your website. It seems like some of the written text
within your posts are running off the screen. Can somebody else please provide feedback and let
me know if this is happening to them as well? This might be a
problem with my browser because I’ve had this happen before.
    Many thanks
