This tiny building is a mere 3 feet 6 inches wide and can be found in 10 Hyde Park Place. Behind the front door all you will find in an alleyway along with a tiny bathroom on the first floor. The sewer lamp of Farting Lane

Near the Savoy on Carting Lane, stands one of London’s last sewer based gas lamps. Until the 50s, the lamp bulb was illuminated by sewer gases from the bowel movements of Savoy guests. Hence the lovely nickname Farting Lane. This caused for a bizarre but effective way of recycling. After an unlucky motorist broke the lamp my reversing his vehicle into it, the lamppost currently runs on natural ‘gas’.

For All the Ladies – Sloane Street

This fabulous street in London is unlike most other streets. With all the shops seeming to aim at the female species, there is definite room to spoil yourself with some good shopping. The charming term ‘Sloane Rangers’ came about describing the sweet ladies spending time on Sloane Street, so why not become a Ranger yourself?

David Bowie and His Coal Mine

On 89 Oakley Street in Chelsea, you can see where the rock legend Davie Bowie lived between 1973-1974.

David wanted to know what it would be like to live in a coal mine due to the coal mine strike at the time, and decided to paint the interior of the house utterly black, including all walls and furniture similar to cloud bed dupes. Another fun fact for the music lovers – This is where Bowie scandalously was found in bed with Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones by his wife.
